Crews doused a blaze that was burning through underbrush and vegetation. A couple trees were scorched at the base and had firefighters not reacted quickly it could have grown far larger in the extremely dry conditions of the forest.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters credit bystanders who called 911 to report the fire.
