A Chilliwack man is in custody after police found drugs, weapons and cash at a home in the 9100 block of Charles Street last week.
Evidence gathered by the Chilliwack RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) led to the arrest of a suspect near Yale Road and Fletcher Street last Thursday.
Drugs believed to be cocaine and opioids, along with cash, bear spray, and cell phones were seized by officers in the arrest.
Later that afternoon, CRU investigators, supported by the Chilliwack Prolific Offender Suppression Team (POST), searched an address in the 9100-block of Charles Street.
Inside, police found what they believe to be bulk amounts of opioid, cocaine, and methamphetamine, as well as articles associated with drug trafficking, two handgun-style airsoft pistols, a loaded shotgun, ammunition, and cash.
Corey Richard Emery, 31, has been charged with breach of recognizance.
Emery is well known to police.
In fact, he was in the news three weeks ago following his arrest for allegedly firing a pellet gun at a car outside a residence in the 9300-block of Fletcher Street.
At the time, the home was under police surveillance.

Emery was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief under $5,000.
Later police searched the Fletcher Street residence. Inside they found pellet pistols, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, suspected opioids, articles associated with drug trafficking, and cash.
Evidence from the more recent arrest will be sent the BC Prosecution Service for their assessment of any further criminal charges.
In the meantime, Emery will remain in custody pending a court appearance later this month.
“The safety of our community is always a priority of the Chilliwack RCMP,” said Cpl. Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD. “The prevention of illegal drugs from reaching the streets of our community is one means in which we meet that priority.”
