RCMP hope the public will recognize two men who are suspected of robbing a senior in downtown Chilliwack.
In the evening hours of Jan. 6 they allegedly approached a 66-year-old man in the 46000 block of First Avenue and demanded money. When they didn’t get any, they allegedly knocked him down and took off. The victim suffered minor injuries hitting the ground, and police have now produced two composite sketches of the suspects.
The first man is described as Caucasian, approximately 20 years old with a scar on his face while the second man is described by RCMP as approximately 20 years old and a man of colour.
“RCMP are reaching out to the public for assistance identifying suspects of the alleged robbery,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail. “Fortunately the gentleman did not receive serious injuries.”
Anyone with info is asked to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or phone Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
