Chilliwack schools remained closed for the second straight day Wednesday as additional 11 centimentres of snow fell overnight.
The Chilliwack school district posted the notice on its website at 6 a.m.
The University of the Fraser Valley announced all of its campuses were closed Wednesday morning. However it intended to reopen the facilities for all classes and activities starting at 1 p.m. today.
Squiala Elementary is also closed again today.
The district made a similar call Tuesday, joining districts across the Lower Mainland in calling a snow day.
The conditions have also promoted BC Transit to temporarily suspend service in several Fraser Valley locations, including Chilliwack. Operations have returned to normal, however Handi Dart services is running on a priority service, and Route 66 is expecting delays

More than 41 centimetres of snow has fallen in Chilliwack since Monday night, said Roger Pannett, volunteer weather watcher for Environment Canada.
The snowfall warning ended Wednesday morning, and skies are expected to clear in the afternoon.
Additional precipitation in the form of rain and wet flurries is expected by the weekend.
