The high water is finally receding in Chilliwack.
City of Chilliwack reports that the Evacuation Alert has been lifted for residents living outside the protected areas with the exception of three Carey Point properties “where there is still overland flooding,” according to the update Tuesday morning.
Water levels continue to decrease, and the Mission gauge had dipped to 5.8 metres.
“Please protect your personal safety and avoid the riverbank, as it remains very unstable.”
All roads have reopened as of this morning.
