Chimes ring in new life

Birth chimes have been installed at VJH in memory of Dr. Theodore Jordan

Birth chimes have been installed at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in memory of Dr. Theodore Jordan, an OB/GYN at VJH from 1960-2009.

Dr. Jordan carried a full general practice, acted as department head, as chief of surgery and was on-call all day/every day at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

With more than 50 years of active practice he touched many lives in the community and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, through donations made in memory of Dr. Jordan, installed the chimes in his memory for his dedication to VJH.

His son Jamie Jordan said his dad delivered 363 babies in one calendar year during a especially busy year.

The chimes will ring throughout the hospital whenever a new baby is born.
