B.C.’s inaugural Family Day will provide residents with some fun opportunities.
On Monday, there will be a free public skate from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Wesbild Centre and a free public swim at the recreation complex from 1:30 to 4 p.m. There will also be a free lap and leisure swim at the pool from noon to 1:30.
“The Ministry of Community Development gave the Vernon Recreation Complex some money towards this,” said Courtenay Pitcher, the city’s communications officer.
