A skate park is going to be built in Rosedale, and the City of Chilliwack is looking for public input before construction starts.
The city’s ‘engagechilliwack.com‘ webpage tweeted out a survey invite Thursday afternoon, and offered a few details about the project.
The proposed site of the new all-wheel skate park is a 3000 square foot space in the centre of Rosedale Park.
All-wheel includes skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes.

“The current playground structure will be moved and replaced,” the survey landing page said. “While in-ground bowl structures and large stair-sets are not options at this time, a number of transition and street terrain options are still possible to include.”
The survey asks if there’s anything else people would like to see at the park, such as seating/viewing space, and whether people would be interested in planning or volunteering for future events like contests, demonstrations and lessons.
The survey also asks for ideas about how to make it unique to Rosedale through colour, sculpture or signage.
The survey is open until Nov. 29.
