The City of Quesnel has re-opened several local recreation sites to the public in response to the Province’s plan to restart B.C. safely.
According to a May 15 release from the City, the skate park, tennis and pickleball courts as well as the bike park are now open for public use, but patrons must follow specific health and safety guidelines in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The City guidelines for use of the recreation sites are:
• Users from separate households MUST maintain 2 metres of physical distance from others at all times
• Stay home if feeling sick or unwell
• Do not share equipment
• Wash your hands and equipment often
The City says that it is awaiting further guidance from the Province of B.C. with regards to when it will be safe to open other arts and recreation facilities and playgrounds to the public.
