The Nov. 23 Clearwater Coffee House was a food bank fundraiser sponsored by the District of Clearwater (DOC). Folks enjoyed music, theatre, and comedy, and donated generously to the Clearwater and District Food Bank, ending in a cheque donation of $308.70 as well as three bags of food.
The DOC also has a food donation box set up for non-perishable, nonexpired donations for the food bank. It’s asked that donors check the expiry date of items before dropping them off. Items can be dropped off during office hours Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
In January the Wells Gray Lively Arts Society will again team up with the DOC when a Winterfest Coffee House will be planned on Jan 18 at the Durch Lake Community Centre. For information contact Gerda at 250-674-3944.
