Fall craft sale
The Clinton Fall Craft Sale on October 22 was well attended, and most vendors were very happy with their sales. The Clinton Communities in Bloom committee were very pleased with the results, and is already planning for next year. Four of the vendors have already booked their tables. Talk about planning ahead!
A safe Halloween
A number of bears have been seen in Clinton this fall, so please keep a close eye on the kids as they are out and about trick-or-treating.
Children’s Halloween party
The Clinton and District Agricultural Association will host a Children’s Halloween party on Monday, October 31 beginning at 6 p.m. At time of writing the location has not been announced. Watch for notices around town.
There will be hot dogs, hot chocolate, games, and costume judging. Bring the kids out for some old fashioned fun!
Halloween fireworks
The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department will be setting off the Halloween fireworks in Reg Conn Centennial Park beginning at 8 p.m. on October 31.
Thanks to the fundraising efforts of Integris Credit Union and donations from TNRD Area “E” (Sally Watson) and the Clinton Fire Department, enough money was raised to hold the event again this year.
Perhaps all that noise will be enough to persuade the visiting black bears to head for the hills. Please keep your pets inside during the fireworks display. Many pets become traumatized by the noise, flashes of light, and smoke generated by the fireworks. Some try to run away and can become lost.
Flu clinic
There will be a flu clinic at the Clinton Health and Wellness Centre on Thursday, November 3, so come and get your free flu shot. This is especially important for seniors, anyone with chronic health issues, and their caregivers.
Seniors marketplace
The Clinton Seniors’ Association will hold their annual marketplace (Flea Market) on Saturday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Clinton Memorial Hall. There will be a variety of items available: everything from used to new, and or course baked goods.
Plan to come out and support the seniors at this event.
