There were some anxious moments at a popular Chilliwack grocery store Wednesday when a vehicle jumped the curb and plowed into two sidewalk produce bins.
No one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 10:30 a.m. at Hofstede’s Country Barn on Luckakuck Way.
But a witness said it could have been much worse.
Moments before the impact, shoppers were picking through the corn in one of the bins.
“Someone could have been pinned,” he said.

The force of the collision pushed the bin about two metres, while destroying another filled with watermelons.
Police, firefighters and paramedics responded.
