Close to $10,000 worth of tools taken from construction site in Nanaimo

Theft happened overnight Sept. 12-13 on Old Slope Place

A thief or thieves broke into a shipping container at a construction site in the north end and made away with tools valued at nearly $10,000.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, the theft happened sometime overnight Sept. 12-13 on Old Slope Place in the north end.

Two laser levels, a Stihl gas cutoff saw, DeWalt hammer drill, concrete tools, DeWalt palm sander, a stick nailer and framing nail gun and an electric water pump were stolen, with a total value in the range of $8,000 to $10,000.
