Corinne George, regional principal of the Burns Lake campus of the College of New Caledonia (CNC) speaks at the official launch of the college’s new branding initiative on March 1. The new logo replaces the old one and will be gradually phased in, with CNC’s new website scheduled to launch in May, the college said in a news release. CNC President Henry Reiser spoke at the launch and his speech was broadcast to all six campuses. Reiser said it was time to replace the logo since the popularity of the old one was declining. CNC last updated its brand and visual identity in 2004 and the logo makeover coincides with the college’s 50th anniversary. The new logo with a red bar represents the connection between learners and educators. The rebranding, which cost $95,000 is the result of numerous interviews, workshops and focus groups on the college’s image. (Blair McBride photo)
