On Oct. 3, police officers wrapped up an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

“The investigation has been going on for several months,” said Gord Molendyk, Vernon RCMP spokesperson.

As part of the case, a 26-year-old White Rock resident was arrested in his vehicle, and cocaine and heroin packaged for sale were located.

The resulting seizure led to the search of a home in the 3500 block of 43rd Avenue, where a  23-year-old Vernon man was arrested.

Inside the house was cocaine packaged for sale and a large sum of cash.

“Both men were released and they are expected to appear in court Nov. 13 to answer to charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking,” said Molendyk.
