A Coldstream orchardist has been recognized by his peers.
Jamie Kidston has received a life member award from the B.C. Fruit Growers Association.
“It’s a prestigious group I have joined,” said Kidston during a ceremony in Kelowna Thursday.
Kidston grew up on the family farm and has been operating the orchard since 1977.
He has been involved with the Vernon Fruit Union, B.C. Tree Fruits, Sun-Rype, the Okanagan Valley Tree Fruit Authority and the International Tree Fruit Association.
