The Town of Comox is looking for public feedback on a proposed third non-medical cannabis store within the municipality.

In accordance with the Cannabis Control and Licensing Act, the Town is looking to gather written submissions on an application for a store licence located at 278 Anderton Rd.

The proposal is from Prime Cannabis Corp. for a commercial strata lot on the second storey of an existing building a location. The licence is proposed for Unit A, and will have no visibility from the road other than the presence of a fascia sign.

In the application to council, the applicant noted it is possible they may have an opportunity to relocate the retail store to occupy a front part of the premises that is visible to Anderton Road.

Once licenced, if the store were to apply to relocate to another address or different space within a currently-licenced address, the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch would review the new location.

The proposed hours of operation of Prime Cannabis are Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
