Keeping fit (or getting fit, for some of us) is important to the team at Presley & Partners, even during the busy tax season.
Chris Ketch from Bodynetix approached the Courtenay accounting company to enter a fitness challenge to help raise funds for charity — and to help ‘desk jockies’ keep moving during tax season.
Six employees accepted the challenge, and were divided into two teams of three. With the help of the points system that Bodynetix has devised, each team is competing for bragging rights at the end of six weeks — and will be healthier, too.
The firm chose the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation as its charity, with the funds going to cardiac care. The company likes the connection between fitness and fundraising for cardiac care.
The Hospital Foundation raises money for equipment and renovations that are not funded through Vancouver Island Health Authority. If you or your organization would like to partner with St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation contact the Lynn at the Foundation office at 250-890-3046, visit it on Facebook or visit the website at www.cvhospitalfoundation.com.
