The Comox Valley RCMP are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Stephen Mapes.
Mapes was reported missing to Surrey RCMP on April 2, 2019 and the investigation was handed over to Comox Valley RCMP earlier this month.
His family and police are concerned for his well-being as it is out of character for him to be out of touch for this long. He was last seen in Courtenay on March 27, 2019.
Investigators in the Comox Valley have been busy following up on tips, however, Mapes is still missing. Surveillance footage of Mapes has been obtained and a photograph is being released in the event someone recognizes him.
Mapes is described as Caucasian, six feet tall with a slim build. He has short grey hair and blue eyes. Mapes is associated to a black Ford F-150 pick-up truck with BC Licence plate: DOGRVR.
If you see Stephen Mapes, or know where he is, please call the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Comox Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at comoxvalleycrimestoppers.bc.ca.
