Traffic on the Malahat was slow moving Tuesday morning, near Tunnel Hill after a semi driver got confused and drove the wrong way down the road.
According to Nancy Saggar with the West Shore RCMP, the driver was unfamiliar with the area and briefly started driving in the northbound lane heading south down the Malahat, in the wrong direction.

Emergency crews were able to help turn the truck around and there was no crash, although traffic was affected in both directions.
Adding to the traffic headache was a crash between a person driving a scooter and a deer on Island Highway near Four Mile Restaurant. Saggar told Black Press Media there were no injuries in the crash.
Also affecting the morning commute is a stalled car, unoccupied, in the left-hand lane, going southbound on the Island Highway just before McKenzie Avenue.
