There will be a full road and sidewalk closure on 9th Ave N in front of the 413 9th Ave N building across from 7/11 from approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 27 until end of day Wednesday, April 28.
The closure is to facilitate the installation of a new water service to the 413 property, according to Chris Cochrane, manager of operations for the Town of Golden.
A 4″ service is being installed as a part of the redevelopment of the building.
Crews will be onsite as of Monday, April 26 for excavation purposes, which will include asphalt saw cutting. The road and sidewalk will remain open through the early work, before closing on Tuesday.
Pedestrian access to adjacent buildings will be maintained during construction.
The closure will affect parking in the area, with those who typically park along that area being encouraged to find elsewhere to park and walk to their destinations.
Roadway repaving is anticipated to occur in mid-June, with Cochrane saying that the repaving is bound by the pacers’ schedule, which will be in town at that time. In the interim, gravel will maintained on that section of road.
Anyone with questions about the process can reach Cochrane at 250-344-2271 ex 226.
