After a closure lasting over three hours and stretching from Hope to Merritt, the Coquihalla highway is expected to reopen southbound at 1:30 p.m. and northbound an hour later, at 2:30 p.m.
The highway closed this morning (Sunday) due to an incident between Highway 3 and Highway 97. Drivers should plan to use Highway 1 or 3 as alternate routes until the highway reopens.
