In the first few months of 2021, local COVID-19 cases have already tied all of 2020’s total.
The latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control states there are five new cases of COVID-19 between March 28 and April 3. This brings 2021’s totals up to 63 cases, tying the grand total from Jan. 2020 to Jan. 2021.
The most recent numbers are slightly down from the previous week, which brought in seven new cases. For 2021, there has been an average of 4.8 new cases of COVID-19 per week.

There have been no further exposures in the Fraser-Cascade school district since mid-January, and there have been no recorded public exposure events since Nov. 2020.

Booking your vaccine
As of Thursday, April 8, those born in 1956 or earlier (aged 65 and up), Indigenous persons aged 18 and up and those who are clinically extremely vulnerable may now book vaccine appointments. Booking can be done online at www2.gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated, registering at your local Service B.C. office or by calling 1-833-838-2323. Phone lines are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
There are two vaccine clinics within Hope: The Hope Public Health Office at 444 Park Street and The Hope COVID-19 Testing and Immunization Centre at Fraser Canyon Hospital, located at 1275 Seventh Avenue.
