The Cowichan Valley School District is working right now to put together education programs for students who have been stuck at home since spring break to try to stop the spread of COVID-19.
But they are facing a challenge they hadn’t anticipated: according to a press release from the district sent out Monday, March 30, many principals and vice principals trying to get in touch with students and their families are finding that the contact information they have is out of date.
The district is asking parents, guardians and families to make sure the contact information their child’s school has is still current.
“If, by the end of the week, you have not had any contact from your school, or the district, through phone or email, please contact your school to ensure your information is up to date,” officials urge.
