Ryan Hill, a Grade 8 student at Quamichan School, was recently awarded the top mark in British Columbia for the Canadian Scholastic Achievement Leagues’ Scholastic Challenge 2020.
The Scholastic Challenge, offered to Grade 6 and 8 students across Canada every year tests students’ problem-solving skills and knowledge in all academic areas, and is very challenging by design.
The Scholastic Challenge is an enrichment opportunity.
Approximately 7,600 students from across the country wrote the test this year.
“In this time of physical distancing, we hope we can all come together and celebrate Ryan’s achievement,” said Robyn Gray, schools superintendent for the Cowichan Valley School District.
“The planning, preparation, and study that went into this result should be celebrated by our community.”
