Cowichan Tribes has received more COVID-19 vaccines for its community, and are now vaccinating members who are 18 years of age and older.
Around 600 members of Cowichan Tribes, mostly elders, received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in January, and they can expect the second dose starting on March 8.
The First Nation is inviting its newly eligible members who live on the reserve to receive their first dose in three sessions over the weekend.
They are being held on Feb. 26-28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each of the three days.
Members can line up for their vaccines in front of the Cowichan Tribes’ administration centre.
They are asked to bring their BC Service Card, a mask to wear onsite, ID or a bill to show proof or address, and they must be free of symptoms of COVID-19 and not currently in self isolation as directed by health professionals.
