A crash between Vernon and Lumby sent three patients to hospital Tuesday night.
The two-vehicle, head-on collision took place on Highway 6 in Coldstream, just past Aberdeen Road.
Three patients were transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with undetermined injuries.
“We had one patient we had to extricate out of the vehicle out of the ditch,” said Coldstream Fire Chief David Sturgeon.
The highway was closed for approximately an hour while crews cleared the scene. Traffic was detoured around the accident via Aberdeen Road and Kalamalka Road.
Motorists are advised to take extreme caution on the roads in snowy conditions
“It’s borderline treacherous right now for sure,” said Sturgeon Tuesday evening.
