Creston RCMP responded to 53 calls for service from Feb. 6-12, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Feb. 13.
February 11
•A vehicle left running in a Canyon Street parking lot was stolen, then located nearby a short time after. It wasn’t damaged and nothing was stolen from inside.
•A 911 call routed through a cellphone tower near Topaz Creek could not be traced to the caller.
•A Vancouver Street resident reported losing a passport.
•Police were called after a mother-daughter argument on Cedar Street. The daughter had left the house and refused to return when police located her.
•An iPod was stolen from a Prince Charles Secondary School changing room. The iPod is engraved with the owner’s name and parents are asked to check if their child suddenly has a “new” iPod.
•An Erickson Road resident reported receiving a telephoned death threat from a phone number listed in Jamaica.
•When police located the source of a 911 cellphone call on Crestview Road they learned the resident does not own a cellphone and that he had not called 911.
•A female reported that she had struck a parked pickup truck when she pulled out of a Vancouver Street parking lot. She didn’t see any damage at the time, but when she got home she inspected her vehicle more closely and noted some slight damage. The pickup truck was gone when police checked and the owner is asked to contact the RCMP so that an accident report can be completed.
•Shots from a rifle damaged some equipment on Blackmore Road.
•A male was arrested for being intoxicated and breaching the peace when he was found to be damaging a rental property on 48th Street.
•An intoxicated male on 21st Avenue South was arrested and held in police cells until sober.
•An intoxicated female who was located after being in a single vehicle accident on Kitchener Road refused a breathalyzer test and was arrested. She was being held in police cells pending a court hearing.
•Police could not trace the source of a 911 call routed through a cellphone tower on Whimster Road in Erickson.
