Crews called to assist with single-vehicle accident

Incident took place approximately three kilometres east of Canoe

Crews are on scene of a single-vehicle accident on the Trans-Canada Highway approximately three kilometres east of Canoe.

The incident took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. with the fire department and rescue crews called out to deal with possible entrapment of two people inside.

The eastbound van appears to have gone off the right side of the road into the ditch.

An ambulance and RCMP were also on scene but the condition of the people in the van is not known.

Traffic was stopped for a short time, but is now moving through at a reduced speed.
