Crews are continuing to repair pathways along the shore of Okanagan Lake at Peach Orchard Park and Rotary Beach.
The pathway repairs are to fix damages resulting from spring flooding in 2017 and 2018.

Graham Statt, chief administrative officer for Summerland, said the design work along the path includes the protection of the new trail from tree roots, which have been a problem in the past.
“I went on-site to observe the work a week ago and was very pleased to see the quality of the work being done from the installation of rip-rap and trail improvements including new lighting being installed,” he said
Construction began at Peach Orchard Park and crews are now working near Rotary Beach.
The repair work has an estimated cost of $540,000. Of this amount, $200,000 is coming from the provincial Disaster Financial Assistance program. The remaining $340,000 is coming from the municipality.
In 2020, work was done on a portion of the damaged pathway near Peach Orchard Park.
