Crowd gathers for climate action march in Courtenay

The event was organized by the Youth Environmental Action group

On Friday afternoon, members of the Youth Environmental Action gathered at Simms Millennium Park for a climate strike through downtown Courtenay.

Approximately 200 people gathered at the gazebo to listen to speeches prior to walking across the Fifth Street bridge to downtown.

The youth organization previously organized similar marches throughout the past year.
