Clearwater Secondary School held its graduation ceremony on June 21, where 38 grads celebrated the completion of their studies before heading off to the next stages of their lives.
The ceremony was attended by friends, family, faculty and dignitaries, some of whom offered words of inspiration and advice.
A number of awards, scholarships and bursaries were also granted to help those heading on to post-secondary studies.
These included the Alan Neuman Award, which was given to Jenny Panko; the Bill Sedgwick Memorial Bursary was handed to Annika Wadlegger and the BOP Elks #499 Bursary was given to Hannah Elliot.
The Brody Wynne Memorial Bursary was given to Nathan Jensen; the Skye/Courtney Buck Bursary was awarded to Ashley Foster and Cedrik Menard and the Buy-Low Foods Scholarship was given to Ashley Foster.
C.J. Bessette Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Grayson Panko; the Canfor Scholarship was handed to Jenny Panko and Bret Nolette and Hannah Elliot and Ashley Foster received the Clearwater Dental Clinic Bursary.
The Central North Thompson Rod and Gun Club donated to Paytten Yurkiw and Amanda Zittlau; Century 21 Rison Bursary was given to Nathan Jensen and the Clearwater Rotary Club Bursary was handed to Ashley foster, Jenny Panko, Grayson Panko and Hannah Elliot.
Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi/Xi Epsilon Eta Bursary went to Jenny Panko and Grayson Panko; the Chris Cleaveley/Mary Fus Bursary went to Brody Jeanson and Ashley Foster and the Clearwater and District Minor Hockey Association: Donna Akers Sjodin Memorial Bursary went to Mitchell Chayer and Ryan Green.
Dr. Cary Lam Memorial Scholarship was given to Saaya Miyata and Ahmae Eakins; Dave Giesbrecht Memorial Bursary was awarded to Hannah Elliot and the District/Authority Scholarships were handed to Annika Wadlegger, Cedrik Menard, Bret Nolette and Amanda Zittlau.
The Lynda Cairns Memorial Bursary was given to Nathan Jensen; the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Health Care Auxiliary Bursary was given to Ashley Foster and the KLL Construction Rugby Award was received by Annika Wadlegger.
KTTA – Bert Lambert Memorial Scholarship was given to Mark Green and Cedrik Menard; Estsek’ Environmental Sciences LLP Science Scholarship was awarded to Jenny Panko and the Harry Taron Memorial Bursary was received by Mitchell Chayor.
The Fund for a Worthy Student was awarded to Allison Watson; Interior Savings and Credit Union Million Dollar Bursary was given to Ryan Green, Nathan Jensen, Cedrik Menard, Annika Wadlegger and Paytten Yurkiw and the Kamloops Blazers High School Scholarship was handed to Annika Wadlegger.

Kamloops Honda Bursary was given to Brody Jeanson; Saaya Miyata received the Pharmasave Bursary and the Principals and Vice-Principals Bursary went to Ahmae Eakins.
Redman Family Memorial Bursary was received by Hannah Elliot; the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #259 donated to Ahmae Eakins and Annika Wadlegger and the Royal Purple Bursary was awarded to Saaya Miyata.
School District 73 Principals/VP’s Entrance Scholarship was given to Jenny Panko; the Sikh Temple Society Scholarship was handed to Mitchell Chayer, Paytten Yurkiw, Austin Chrystall and Grayson Panko and the Times Bursary was awarded to Nathan Jensen.
Thompson Rivers University Regional Entrance Award went to Ryan Green and Hannah Elliot; Thompson Rivers University Leadership Entrance Scholarship was handed to Jenny Panko and the University of Alberta Entrance Scholarship was received by Grayson Panko.
Wadlegger Logging and Construction Bursary was awarded to Paytten Yurkiw and the Yellowhead Community Services Scholarship was given to Ahmae Eakins.
