A cyclist riding on the sidewalk at the Fifth Street and 72nd Avenue intersection in Grand Forks was injured when he hit a vehicle on Nov. 29 at 2:53 p.m.
The bicyclist did not notice the SUV stopped at the intersection and ran into the side of the vehicle. There was minor damage to the bicycle and the bicycle driver sustained a bruised forearm but declined medical treatment.
No charges were laid in the matter.
“The bicyclist was warned about walking his bicycle across the crosswalk and not driving on the sidewalk,” said Grand Forks RCMP’s Staff Sgt. Jim Harrison.
