As Robb’s Ride came through Grand Forks last week, two cyclists hit a bit of a bump in the road.
According to Grand Forks Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Kevin McKinnon, two cyclists collided on Highway 3 not far from the curling rink on Friday afternoon. BC Ambulance, RCMP and Fire/Rescue attended the scene.
One cyclist was sent to hospital to be checked out, but injuries are non-serious. The second cyclist involved was okay and continued on the ride.
RCMP Sgt. Jim fenske confirmed the two cyclists were participating in Robb’s Ride.
Motorists are advised to always be aware of cyclists, especially during the summer months. ICBC recommends remaining a three-second distance behind a cyclist and giving at least one metre when passing a cyclist on the road.
