The City of Terrace has set a date to host a public forum for people to voice their opinions, share their concerns and insights and provide suggestions regarding the tent camp and homelessness in the city.
The event will be held on Sept. 3 at the Banquet Room at the Terrace Sportsplex from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Each speaker will have three minutes to make their comments. Social media posts will not be considered, but written submissions can be forwarded through to the city’s corporate administrator.

To be put on the speakers’ list, contact 250-638-4721 or email athompson@terrace.ca.
The public forum follows a packed Committee of the Whole meeting on July 17, where council discussed what’s commonly known as “Tent City” on the north side of Keith Ave just west of the Dudley Bridge.
Despite the high public turnout, the audience was not given a chance to contribute to the discussion, as is customary for Committee of the Whole meetings.
