Residents now have an extended opportunity to complete the Moving Saanich Forward online survey.

The survey, which is part of Saanich Engineering’s community consultation for its active transportation plan, Moving Saanich Forward, seeks opinions on the future of walking and biking in Saanich.

“Due to the success of the survey and amount of input received so far, we have extended the survey deadline by one week [to Jan. 31],” said Harley Machielse, director of engineering.

“Using the input from this survey we can begin to explore what we can do at the district to make active forms of transportation a more accessible and attractive choice for residents.”

The survey launched in December and has already had more than 750 residents share their views on what would encourage them to walk and bike more often.

Moving Saanich Forward will guide Saanich’s development of safe, attractive and convenient active transportation options for the next 30 years.
