Death on Watson Island to be confirmed

Possible CN staff death

Reports of the death of a CN Rail staff member possibly a conductor, near Prince Rupert are currently being confirmed. The death allegedly occurred this afternoon (June 15) on Watson Island. Specific details are yet unknown.

Watson Island is owned by the City of Prince Rupert and leases the land to Pembina.

The Northern View has made inquiries to the RCMP, Pembina, CN Rail and the City of Prince Rupert which have yet to be responded to.
