Fernie Alpine Resort has announced the headliner for Fernival 2020, their annual year-end party and concert.
This year, Canadian band Delhi 2 Dublin will be hitting the stage to celebrate the end of FAR’s winter operations. Fernival will kick off this year with the ever-popular Raging Elk Powder, Pedal, Paddle relay on April 11, 2020.
The following day, on April 12, FAR will host the Coca-Cola Slopesoaker as a final event of the season. Live music will accompany both days of Fernival, with Delhi 2 Dublin taking the stage on Saturday afternoon.
Delhi 2 Dublin was originally formed in 2006 in Vancouver and plays a fusion of Bhangra, electronic, funk, Celtic, reggae and hip hop music. Their latest album, We Got This was released in 2019 and features feel-good pop party anthems that are sure to bring an infectious high energy to the Fernival festivities.
Singer Sanjay Seran is accompanied by violinist Serena Eades, dhol player Ravi Binning and beatmaker Tarun Nayar to create an intriguing and engaging sound.
Previous Fernival headliners have included Five Alarm Funk, Sloan, Wide Mouth Mason, BC/DC, and many more.
