Delta police are asking the public to come forward with more information to help piece together the last days of a man killed in an accident on River Road in October.
Police are looking to speak with anyone with any information as to the circumstances that led up to Gary Bowman, 48, walking on River Road just before 11:30 p.m. the night of Oct. 27. (Delta Police Department photo) |
According to DPD press release, Gary Bowman, 48, had worked in the Delta area prior to his death, but police don’t have information regarding the circumstances that led up to him walking on River Road just before 11:30 p.m. the night of Oct. 27.
Bowman was killed when he was struck by a bus while apparently attempting to cross River Road. The driver of the bus remained on the scene.

“Gary’s family had lost touch with him prior to the crash, and was very saddened to hear of his sudden death. His family and police are looking for any further information regarding what happened that night and in the days previous,” DPD public affairs manager Cris Leykauf said in a press release. “We are also asking Gary’s friends and acquaintances to contact Delta police so we can get further information on where he was living, his activities, etc.”
Police are also asking for anyone who may have witnessed the minutes prior to the collision to contact them.
