There’s a new face with the District of Vanderhoof.
Megan Pinchin started her first day with the district as communications coordinator after the September long weekend on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
“It’s an exciting environment to work in and just very fun,” she said.
The majority of Pinchin’s role she described will be to bring that missing link between what happens at the district with residents by improving communications.
Advertising and marketing will also be part of her role.

Pinchin has more than seven years of experience in communications and was previously working remotely in Prince George for various companies.
She would sometimes have to come to Vanderhoof or pass through.
“Every time I’ve gone through it, I’ve always kind of mentioned to family or friends that I’d love to live in a community like this, so it is in the works,” Pinchin added.
“I love the community feel. I’ve been to a few events in the past as well as going to the farmers’ market when I can, and you get a real sense of pride in the community and that’s something that I really value in my personal life, and so I just wanted to be a part of that.”
