Obviously, Quesnel residents don’t want to be driving on Highway 97 today.
As of 10 a.m. today (Feb. 7), Drive BC has issued travel advisories for Highway 97 from Hixon to 50 kilometres south of Williams Lake.
The issue is heavy snowfall and limited visability.
There is a freezing rain warning from 83 Mile to Clinton.
There is compact snow with slippery and slushy sections from Loon Lake to Cache Creek. Driver on that stretch of highway also has blowing snow and fog to contend with.
There is compact snow and slippery sections leading into Kamloops from Cache Creek.
Weather conditions
Quesnel residents will be seeing more snow today and it will be heavy at times — between 15 and 25 cm.
We’ll get to a high of -3C.
It’s going to snow between 10 and 15 cm tonight, with a low -6C.
