On Jan. 17 Michelle Stuttard, manager of Health Services at Dr. Helmcken Hospital, met with members of Wells Gray Community Forests and Hospital Auxiliary members to show the latest piece of equipment purchased for the hospital.

This was a joint effort with Wells Gray Community Forests paying half the cost and the Hospital Auxiliary the other half.

The chair, which appears to be a large, sturdy lazyboy will be a great asset to the staff and patients alike at the hospital. It can be adjusted to a variety of positions and heights, which allows nurses to more easily do leg or foot wraps, etc.

It will also be a lot more comfortable for the patient to sit in this chair while having an IV drip instead of lying or sitting on a stretcher. The staff is happy with this new purchase.

The Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank Wells Gray Community Forests for partnering with us to make this a reality. And also a big “thank you” to the residents of Clearwater for being such great supporters of the fundraisers.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you and hope we can count on your continuing support.
