Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 43 calls for service from May 7th, 8 a.m. till May 8th, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, seven people were lodged in Terrace cells – five of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
Partiers walking on Sparks St. Police spoke with the group.
Money was transferred out of an account fraudulently. The bank is looking into the matter.
An intoxicated woman taking off her clothes on Atwood St. Police arrested a 37-year-old woman.
Man passed out in a parking lot behind a business on Park Ave. Police spoke with the man who was napping in the shade. No issues.
A person threw something through the window of the TD Bank. Investigation determined that a skateboard was thrown through the window. Under investigation.
A 17-year-old girl was assaulted by two girls. Under investigation.
The TD Bank reported that they have workers in their building.
Vagrants using a vacant and boarded up building to sleep in. Police spoke with a man and woman inside. BC Ambulance transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital due to her level of intoxication. Options to better secure the building were discussed.
Sexual assault and abduction investigation.
BC Ambulance requested police assistance with an intoxicated patient. He was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital and then rearrested later in the evening for breaching a no consume alcohol condition of an undertaking and probation. He is held for court.
Two people using the TD Bank ATM lobby for a shelter. Police spoke with the two men.
A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl walking on Lakelse Ave. were attacked and assaulted by a group. Minor injuries were received. Under investigation.
Elsewhere Terrace
An angry and intoxicated woman drinking in the George Little Park. Police spoke with the woman and dumped some alcohol.
An intoxicated 18-year-old woman smashing a trailer with a 2 x 4 piece of wood. Police arrested the woman. Two intoxicated bystanders, a 45-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were belligerent and uncooperative with police and were arrested as well.
A child being dragged into a residence and possibly assaulted. Police spoke with the people involved. The child was being disciplined and was not in distress.
A man and woman arguing on Molitor St. Checks were conducted of the area.
Abandoned vehicle at a business on Hwy 16 west. Police contacted the registered owner.
Loud exhaust on a red Honda. Police spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle. The situation was being resolved.
A man and woman yelling profanities at each other. Police observed a man and woman each sporting various injuries. Investigation could not determine a clear version of events and the people involved were not cooperative.
A 15-year-old girl harassing a 15-year-old girl.
Intoxicated man sleeping in a ditch on Hall St. Police spoke with a 52-year-old man. He was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by BC Ambulance.
A rock was thrown through the window of a residence on Kalum St. Under investigation.
A taxi being driven in an erratic manner on Hwy 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert. Under investigation.
A disturbance in a residence on Kalum St. Second attendance to this residence by police this day. Police separated two men who were fighting. Checks determined that a 34-year-old man was breaching a conditional sentence order and probation. He was arrested and is held for court.
Suicidal intoxicated man on a bike. A second call was received. The 58-year-old man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.
A man trying to gain access to a residence he is not supposed to be at on Haugland Ave. He left prior to police attendance. Under investigation.
A man stumbling down Kalum St. The man had already been arrested.
Intoxicated 17-year-old girl attempting to gain entry into a residence on Kenney St. Police transported the girl to an alternate location.
A chocolate lab and a yellow lab cross are missing from a yard on Olson Ave.
Loud music on Craig Dr. Police spoke with a man.
A green 4 door sedan being driven in an erratic manner on Tetrault St. Further information could not be obtained.
Abandoned 911 call on Ferry Island. A person was heard in distress. Police conducted numerous checks and spoke with everyone on Ferry Island. A person is distress was not found. Under investigation.
Thornhill
A dine and dash at a restaurant on Thornhill St. Police spoke with the people involved. A resolution was reached and advice given.
False cellular 911 call.
An out of control intoxicated 18-year-old woman not welcome at a residence. Police arrested the woman.
Gitaus
False 911 cellular call.
Domestic dispute. Police spoke with a man and a woman. No offence committed.
Rural
A woman requesting police assistance with addiction issues. Police transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital.
A black Acer cell phone, model Liquid 74, was found on Kalum St. on May 5th.
A grey 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 was pulled over for going 150 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone on Hwy 16 near Gossen Cr. The 27-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
