A driver crashed onto the sidewalk in front of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce on Bridge Street early Tuesday morning.
The vehicle destroyed a lamppost and two structural supports attached to the overhead canopy.
RCMP Sergeant Rob Hughes said the driver left the scene, and police are investigating.
