Vernon Para-alpine skier Josh Dueck will be going into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame.
Dueck is part of the Class of 2018 that will be inducted in Vancouver on May 31, 2018.
Dueck is a Paralympics gold- and silver-medalist and became the first sit skier to perform a back flip.
He’ll be joined in the Class of 2018 by fellow athletes Cliff Ronning (hockey), Ryan Dempster (baseball), Glen Jackson (football) and Marielle Thompson (skiing).
Dueck was inducted earlier this year into the Mission Hill Elementary School Hall of Fame.
Going into the Hall in the Builder/Coach cateogry are former NHL referee Rob Schick; Tom Johnson (swimming) and Alex McKechnie (multi-sport/sports medicine).
Also being inducted are the 1991 Canadian men’s rugby team (team category); the 1900-18 Rossland Ladies Ice Hockey Team (pioneer); Tony Gallagher (media) and Alex Nelson (Indigenous sport, winner of the W.A.C. Bennett Award.
