A minor earthquake was reported just outside Nelson late Tuesday night.
The earthquake measured at 2.9 magnitude and hit an area 24 kilometres east of Nelson by Earthquakes Canada, which is part of the federal natural resources ministry.
The report says the quake would barely have been felt in Nelson.
