A celestial event had many North Okanagan residents looking to the sky.
Hundreds of people took in Monday morning’s partial eclipse during a special event at the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon.
To ensure people were safe and didn’t damage their eyes, there were special glasses for viewing the eclipse, a telescope with a special filter and people were shown how to make a pinhole projector.
Viewing parties were held across North America.
