No need to spin your wheels thinking of creative Christmas gift ideas. The West Kootenay Eco Society annual winter craft fair has 28 tables full of unique and locally made products at the Central School gymnasium ready for Christmas shoppers today.
Many of the vendors are from the Downtown, Cottonwood and MarketFest summer events. Body care products, clothes, hats, hand-spun yarns, hand-made chocolates, and quality pottery are a sample of the variety of items for sale.
EcoSociety’s markets director Jesse Woodward said, “Customers will really appreciate the quality and diversity of the offerings. Knowing that you are supporting the local economy just makes the whole winter craft fair shopping experience a delightful activity.”
The fair is open until 4 p.m. today and is the last chances of the 2014 market season to shop at these market vendors stalls.
The Cottonwood Community Market will start up once again mid-May 2015.
