The ElectroRecycle Ambassadors are hitting the road again and will be visiting Williams lake on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 to encourage more British Columbians to recycle their small household appliances and power tools.
The Ambassadors will attend the Oliver Street Market Friday and meet with government officials on Saturday to collaborate and brainstorm new and innovative ways of inspiring Williams lake residents to recycle local products. They will also gain insights from local representatives on their current recycling behaviours and outlooks, and will learn how ElectroRecycle can better serve Williams lake in order to reach their waste reduction goals. To date, Williams lake residents have collected more than 13,248 kgs. of electrical products.
ElectroRecycle is the not-for-profit province-wide recycling program that provides a friendly alternative for a variety of electrical products such as toasters, blenders, irons, sewing machines and electric toothbrushes that would otherwise end up in landfills.
