It was all hands on deck this afternoon when what has unofficially been reported as a grassfire that spread to a house began billowing out a plume of spoke in Erickson.
Creston Fire Department, RCMP and ambulance personnel were called out at about 2 p.m. to fight a blaze that had fully engulfed the house on Erickson Road at Church Road by 3 p.m. A portable water storage pool was set up on the roadway to augment local water supplies.
A complete report about the incident is expected tomorrow morning.
